The Kidde 20SAR is a 120V hardwired smoke alarm with two AA batteries as backup if the power drops. It can be interconnected with other compatible alarms so one detecting smoke sounds them all, and its sensing is tuned to cut down on false alarms from cooking. An 85 dB horn and a red LED signal an alert, three status lights show its condition, and it self-tests. It signals end of life at 10 years and carries a 10-year limited warranty. UL 217 10th Edition.
