Must have basic knowledge of hand and power tools. 

Must acquire ND Apprentice Card within 1 month of employment. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Required to register with North Dakota State College of Science – Electrical Apprenticeship Coursework within 6 months of employment



Responsibilities

The ability and willingness to learn how to reads, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to see layout of commercial electrical equipment installations

The ability and willingness to test electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance

Help Journeyman with installs repairs, or replacing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic, and line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts

Help Journeyman with preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)

Help Journeyman work on electrical failures and replaces components wherever production time is often affected

Learn to install, maintain, and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices

Complies with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules.


Qualifications

Ability to read a tape measure

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel

Demonstrate ability to operate hand and power tools

Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems

Willing to work overtime
